Editorial policy
Visa content is YMYL — "your money or your life" — because a wrong figure can cost a reader a rejection, a fine, or a wasted flight. This is how ThaiEntry researches, verifies and maintains its guides.
Official-first sourcing
Every material fact — fees, stay durations, financial thresholds, eligibility — is anchored to a primary official source wherever one exists: Royal Thai Embassy and Consulate pages, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs e-Visa portal (thaievisa.go.th), the Board of Investment (BOI) for the LTR, and the Immigration Bureau. Reputable specialist sources are used to corroborate, not to replace, official figures.
Verification and honest flags
Where a figure varies by embassy, is in transition (for example, a change approved but pending publication), or could not be fully confirmed, we say so in the text rather than presenting an uncertain number as settled fact. "Verify before you apply" is a standing instruction throughout the site, not a disclaimer we hide.
Review and accountability
Each guide is reviewer-signed and carries a visible "last updated" date. The reviewer is named so readers know who stands behind the content. When rules change, we update the affected guides and log material changes on the corrections page.
Independence
We rank guides by usefulness, not by commission. We do not accept affiliate placement money to reorder content, and we do not sell reader details to visa agents. Any commercial relationship that could affect coverage would be disclosed.
What we do not do
We do not provide personalised legal or immigration advice, guarantee an application outcome, or substitute for an official embassy determination. For advice on an individual case, readers should consult a licensed professional or the relevant Thai mission. See our disclaimer.
